Ed Beckham has been a Ph.D. clinical psychologist since 1980. He learned cognitive therapy from John Watkins, Ph.D. (who learned it from John Rush, M.D. who learned it from Aaron Beck, M.D.) He worked as an Associate Professor at the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences from 1980-1992. He has been in private practice in Oklahoma City since 1992.
