Come to play, and learn cognitive therapy concepts the easy way.

Learning cognitive therapy words and concepts can be a little daunting at first. You need to learn about different types of cognitive distortions. And then there are the ins and outs of the four column technique. This website is meant to make that easier for you. Five games (and one memory exercise) are available, although all are still in beta. You can start with any one.

You might warm up with a few easy true/false questions in a review of cognitive therapy basic concepts in the Mountain Climber game (Game 1). Then there’s the depression/self-esteem game (Game 2) called “Haunted House.” Game 3 is about anxious thoughts, also called Sunny Skies or Blow the Clouds Away. Game 4 deals with angry thoughts. It is not really a game yet; but it is useful. Finally, Game 5 is about perfectionistic/all-or-nothing thinking. Game 5 is focused on all or nothing thinking. This is sometimes referred to as black and white thinking, or dichotomous thinking, or even perfectionistic thinking.

(There is also a memory exercise page; but that is unrelated to the rest of the cognitive therapy information and games.)
